The 8th annual San Francisco Trans March Celebrates the 45th Anniversary of
the Compton’s Cafeteria Riot: Serving Up Human Rights Since 1966
The San Francisco Trans March is proud to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Compton’s Cafeteria Riot. Our theme for this year is in honor of the fierce activists who helped start up the modern LGBT rights movement: Serving Up Human Rights Since 1966. Felicia Flames, one of the “screaming queens” who participated in the riot, will deliver this year’s keynote address. The Trans March will also be providing a trolley so that our elders and people with mobility difficulties can join the march itself.
