The San Francisco Trans March is proud to announce the 16th Annual Trans March

SAN FRANCISCO – The San Francisco Trans March is proud to announce the 16th Annual Trans March to take place Friday, June 28th, 2019 in Dolores Park. With an expected 7000 attendees, the San Francisco Trans March is the first, and largest, trans pride event in the United States.

The 16th annual San Francisco Trans March will begin with our Annual Youth and Elder Brunch at 11 am in Dolores Park. Trans and queer youth and elders will bond over food, games, music and activities designed to create connections between the two sometimes disparate groups.

The Brunch will be followed by a fantastic Resource Fair from 2-6pm featuring 25+ organizations who have services directly supporting TGNC people and communities.

The Stage Performance Celebration in the park begins at 3 pm and goes until 6 pm with live music, speakers and performances.

A Street March to Turk & Taylor will immediately follow at 6 pm. The Street March event will end with  speakers at Turk & Taylor, the location of the historic Compton’s Cafeteria Riot in 1966 and the center of the coming Compton’s Cultural District, the first transgender cultural district in the country.

After a brief Stage Speakers event after the Street March arrives, the marchers then disperse to our 2 fabulous After Parties! This year the Trans March is excited to partner again with two great organizations for our After Parties. Wicked Grounds SF on 8th Street will be hosting their 5th Annual Transfabulous! Trans March 18+ Sober After Party from 7-9:30pm. El Rio SF on Mission Street will be hosting their 14th Annual Bustin’ Out! Party Against The Prison Industrial Complex!, The Official 21+ Trans March Afterparty from 7pm-2am.

The mission of the San Francisco Trans March is to inspire all trans and gender non-conforming people to realize a world where we are safe, loved, and empowered. We strive to create a space for our diverse communities to unite and achieve the social justice and equality that each of us deserves.
