Our Story
The San Francisco Trans March is SF’s largest transgender and gender non-conforming Pride event and the largest trans events in the entire world. It’s always the Friday of Pride weekend and thousands of people attend.
The March is organized and run entirely by volunteers from the community. Our Board of Directors and a committed group of community members work hard to ensure that everything we do supports our mission and vision. The event itself is the result of hard work by many, many people doing things big and small.
Unfortunately, we need more than just volunteers to make the March happen. Normally, the event costs about $45,000 and that covers things like city permitting fees, stage rental, the sound system, ASL interpretation, the youth/elder brunch, and a whole mess of other expenses. We raise most of our money through grants and sponsorships, but we still need quite a bit to make this event happen.
How can I contribute?
